About Corey
I am a developer, technologist, teacher, and father.

I have been creating web applications, interfaces, and experiences for the web for over 17 years. I have been involved in several startups and small-businesses in those years...spanning everything from newspaper classifieds to financial market data. I am a co-founder of Findings, a service for collecting and sharing highlights and notes from your ebooks and the web. I am currently leading the Hyatt Digital Experience lab, which focuses on building digital products to enhance the guest experience at Hyatt Hotels, Inc.

I graduated from NYU's Tisch School of Arts Interactive Telecommuncations Program (ITP) in 2009. The curriculum significantly broadened my technical, creative, and collaborative skills. Some of my notable projects at ITP are the "Infinity Mirrored Room: LEDs Forever", "The Naked Pixel", and the "Honeycomb". I was offered a position as Resident Researcher at ITP based on my work and skills for the 2009-2010 school year.

My work at ITP led to becoming part of the adjunct faculty. My class is entitled "Device Independence with Mobile Web Applications (renamed to "Write Once, Access Anywhere" for Spring 2010), which focuses on creating near-native mobile web applications using modern web technologies.

I have also taught as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. I co-teach a class with faculty member Susan McGregor called "Data Journalism and Information Visualization".

My work has encompassed Web Applications, Physical Computing, Wearable Technology, Computational Media, Social Software, and Mobile Apps & Location-based Services.
